From my heart to yours: #Gratitude

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and if you don't take a step, you will always be in the same spot....these were the words that kept resonating to me before I finally took a step and delved to start my event planning business in January, 2013.  I have always wanted to be an entreprenuer but never thought of doing it in the line of event planning let alone makeup!  I have always been a planner, the folks with whom I grew up with can testify to the fact that I'm a natural-born planner.  I plan all my events, be it social or otherwise, purposefully.   However, I held back for so long, in part, because I was waiting for the perfect time.  I found myself procrastinating.  I was living my fears instead of living my dreams.  Thankfully, my dreams outweighed my fears.  I was able to look to God, connect within my spirit and with the encouragement of family and friends, I took a step of faith. This is not work for me as I enjoy every bit of it. I aspire to touch lives through my God-given talents.

That being said, 2013 has been a glorious year for me and I thank almighty God for granting me the opportunity and grace to do what I do.  As the common saying goes, "whatever your hands find doing, do it well", I have made a conscious choice to make a difference and to be a pacesetter. I have learnt a lot this year and I am amazed by the grace that God has given me to learn and grow. My journey thus far, has been inspired by grace, perseverance and above all, love. 

I would like to take a moment and appreciate my family and friends alike whose constant encouragement give me strength to keep pressing forward. May God bless you more and more abundantly.

I would also like to thank all my social media fans, you guys are the best!!! Without you, there's no "OnPoint".  I am indeed grateful.  The messages I keep receiving in my inbox, from you all, are more than an inspiration. I appreciate you all for showing me nothing, but love.

As we project into the new year 2014, my prayer is that, God in is infinite mercies, will keep and protect us all. We shall all celebrate one another. Our dreams and wishes shall come true by the special grace of God. I am excited by all the good things that is happening around me. I am looking forward to bringing in more people to join my team.  Together, we'd be your event planners, special occasion makeup artists and gele (headwrap) stylists. Together, we shall learn, grow, and expand our horizons.  It shall be a glorious year for us all by the special grace of God.  Amen.
